Morgan’s in the Desert — “The Founder’s Legacy”
Named in honor of Walter H. Morgan, this elegant restaurant celebrates the man whose vision shaped the resort’s foundation. Morgan believed luxury was rooted in genuine care—personally greeting each guest and ensuring every detail felt thoughtful and personal. His belief that the desert could offer both restoration and inspiration turned La Quinta into one of California’s most beloved retreats.
Today, Morgan’s in the Desert carries that same spirit forward. Designed to reflect the Spanish Colonial Revival style of the original casitas, it combines rich textures, soft lighting, and fresh, seasonal cuisine inspired by the Coachella Valley. Dining here feels like stepping into history—where hospitality is still an art form and every meal is an invitation to slow down and savor the beauty around you.
Did you know?
Before it became Morgan’s, this was the resort’s first dining room, La Mirage, known for formal candlelit dinners.
Morgan personally greeted guests by name—a tradition of personalized service that continues today.
The resort’s culinary heritage dates back nearly 100 years, rooted in California’s early farm-to-table movement.
