Foam Roller Stretch

Manage repetitive physical stress from training, prevent injury, and improve/enhance overall performance by using a foam roller. This is a recovery class meant to optimize muscle recovery after hard workouts. Recovery is an integral part of any person’s sports performance. Using a foam roller helps to reach peak performance in any sport. It is ideal for maintaining optimal levels of health and activity. This is a form of self-massage or self myofascial release (SMR) that can help loosen up tight muscles and “trigger points.” That occurs when contracted muscles fail to fully release. These adhesions, or knots, can be experienced by people of all ages and fitness levels and they often result in poor blood and nutrient circulation to the muscle fiber, which can lead to pain or injury. Pliable muscles are healthy muscles so it’s important to keep your muscles loose and strong. You will learn techniques used to relieve tension from and increase flood flow to muscle tissue. Think of it as a massage, but a massage you do on yourself. All levels welcome.
